Mechatronics (DHBW)

Elements of electrical engineering, classic mechanical engineering and information technology are combined in this interdisciplinary study program. You will gain a deep understanding of robotics and control technology and learn to plan and realize automation concepts for manufacturing plants in the automotive industry. Future technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) or projects in the area of Industry 4.0 play a major role in this respect.

Training and educational content at EBZ:

  • Fundamentals of pneumatics, PLC technology and robot programming 
  • Planning of production systems for the automotive industry from an automation point of view 
  • Simulation of production processes in the context of virtual commissioning 
  • Participation in project management, including commissioning of systems in EBZ and on site at the customer’s facility 
  • Preparation of practical dissertations and the bachelor thesis in the product area

  • Technical mathematics, physics and IT
  • Technical mechanics, production engineering and design
  • Fundamentals of electrical engineering and metrology
