Primary Functions of Position:

• Manage Automation & Process Technology Department: virtual commissioning, software design, on-line programming team (controls/robotics), supplier network
• Customer Interface: supporting internal/external meetings, bid kick-offs, day-to-day interactions, etc.), includes travel to customer sites
• Process Development: support estimating & processing team, development of controls architecture per program
• Project Quotations: support estimating team
• Project Execution Plan: support PM team, develop manpower strategies for implementation, progress reporting as outlined by project team
• Timeline development & project tracking related to Automation & Process Technology department responsibilities
• Progress reporting as outlined by project team
• Budgets: manage and report budget status
• Supplier Development: assist purchasing with outsource network, cost effective sourcing strategy to reduce cost and increase competitiveness, develop plan/strategy to manage outsourced projects with design team.
• Coordinate Automation & Process Technology information with design group
• Integration Support: responsible for communicating with installation team regarding proper contact for on-site questions and delivery of required documentation to help ensure successful project execution and completion
• Finalize and close projects with customer: open topics related to automation & process technology
• Create growth & training plans to expand automation & process technology team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree or higher in automation/electrical or 10+ years’ experience in automation technology
• 5+ years onsite experience for body-in-white assembly lines
• 1-2 years electrical software and hardware design experience
• Proficiency in plc programming and knowledge
• Ability to travel
• Good understanding of customer standards for key customers
