Project Engineer Robotics

A Project Engineer Robotics is an entry level manager’s position supporting the project management team in the design and launch phases of Body in White assembly lines. A successful will have a background in automotive assembly, associates or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics, and a desire to work in the fast paced automotive industry. Key activities will:

• Oversee general progress of a project as related to robotic technologies
• Create tracking mechanisms for ordering and planning
• Interface with design simulation team to provide feedback to project management and track various robot applied technologies
• Track installation progress
• Tracking of commissioning phases such as tool mounting,I/O configuration status, programming progress, etc.
• Verify, review and track cycle time optimizations
• Interface with various trades to resolve issues impacting the progression of robot programming
• Review customer specification and work with Robot leads to ensure compliance
• Interface between robot, PLC, and simulation teams to validate and ensure all safety protocols are meet
• Work as liaison between EBZ and robot manufacturer for technical and warranty issues

This position offers a wide range of advancement opportunities into various role including robot programming, technical leader, and project management. Previous robot programming experience is a plus but not a requirement.
